Plans and Credits
Tesorai uses one credit balance across Search, Chat, and Trove. Credits cover platform usage; there are no separate Search and Chat credit balances.
Plans and included credits

Academic and commercial users can use the Free plan, with usage covered by the included credits.
Plus and Pro also offer annual billing at a 10% discount, with credits granted monthly. Plus includes a one-time 200-credit welcome bonus and Pro includes a one-time 1,000-credit welcome bonus after the first successful subscription payment. These paid-plan welcome bonuses do not expire.
Your account may have promotional entitlements. Check your account for your current plan and balance, and see the pricing page for current plan details and trial terms.
Search: running jobs
Section titled “Search: running jobs”Each search job consumes credits. The cost depends on:
- The number, size, and format of your input spectra files.
- The size of the FASTA protein database you select.
- The acquisition type and instrument.
- The digestion enzyme and specificity.
- The fixed and variable modifications and other search settings.
An estimated credit cost is shown before you start a job. Review the estimate and your search settings before launching.
Chat and Trove: analyzing data
Section titled “Chat and Trove: analyzing data”Chat and Trove analyses use the same credit balance as Search. Credit use varies with the complexity of the analysis. Paid plans provide additional credits; Chat usage is not unlimited.
You can use credits to explore results, generate figures and tables, and compare datasets.
Monthly credits and rollover
Section titled “Monthly credits and rollover”Unused monthly credits roll over up to three times your monthly allowance. Your account shows your current available balance.
Additional credits
Section titled “Additional credits”You can purchase additional credit packs without changing your subscription. See the pricing page and your account for available purchasing options.
Search job refunds
Section titled “Search job refunds”If a Search job fails entirely, the credits charged for the job are refunded. If a job partially completes, the credits for failed files are refunded; the files that completed successfully are still charged.
Refunds are applied automatically once a job reaches its final state.
Running low or out of credits
Section titled “Running low or out of credits”If you do not have enough credits, a job or analysis may be blocked. Check your balance and available options in your account.
